Ghoomar is a traditional women's folk dance of Rajasthan and a specialty of Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Mewar regions. It is
performed mainly during Navratra's as a form of pooja or prayer.
Groups of women dance in swirling rokes, and accompanied by men and women singing together. The artists take numerous fast rounds expressing the fire of devotion in them.
